Got you to look. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif *I do believe it will happen soon. I just saw Honda's new adds for it's new personal watercraft. How many knew that it was coming out? I sure didn't? I could definetly see them coming out soon with something great, and possibly buying Redline out. Hondas could mass produce them for alot less than Redline is currently doing. What do you guys and gals http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif , think?

I was just talking about that the other day. My bet will be it's a sweet 4-stroke sled. Since that seems to be the way they are headed. I bet they will be a leader in 4-stroke power from the begining.

I,ve heard "rumer" that honda's been developing a four stroke sled for a few years & actualy have rideable prototypes!?
with the economy in the swirl with the tidybowl man, & the sled market, this year & possibly next year, takin it in the shorts, do ya think they'll really want to jump in any time soon? * Who knows?

yea you got me to look http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

honda in the sled business has been a rumour long before the bowl of rice was invented.

I bet it will be under 2 decibles and have a 120volt AC plug to power all sorts of accessories. *

Then there will be the Type R and Type S and you can be sure Fart pipes will be heard and seen. *

It will probably go all season on a tank of gas and never have a problem.

Honda = Junk. *

Im sure honda will have the first turbo sled... *But please honda just stay out of it.

I saw one on Florida this past weekend and didn't think it was for real. Here are some pics I found on the web this morning;

Just wait until the buyers put stickers on it and wonder why they just got stomped by a thundercat. *"But I've got a muffler on it!"

Yeah.

And in a year when the aftermarket catches up you will see

MOMO handle bars, BBS Idler wheel rims. *

And they will probably slam the sleds from 10 inch of rear travle to 2.

The storage compartment will be packed with subs and amps.

I will keep owning ski-doo sleds as long as Honda doesn't make one. *Honda equals quality. *They will raise the bar in snowmobiling. *What they do make will work and it will work the first time they make it. *What do they make that isn't of great quality?http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Honda has good quality but ive had my fair share of problems with them. *

The only brands i even look at now is Bombardier and Yamaha. *

yes im stubborn but i didnt just wake *up one day and choose two brands. *

My neighour has a honda car and lawnmore and he thinks its the greatest thing in the world. *But hes always got his car in the shop and asking to barrow my BRIGGS AND STRATTON when his honda 5 hp cant handle the tall grass. *My briggs 4 hp goes through it like nothing.

They will more than likely have some major glitches! *I can't see them coming into the business with such bad years for the snowmobile business. *IMO

I got a peek in the repair bay of our Honda dealer and they wern't lacking for work.
Honda makes great products but don't be fooled in to believing that because a few people you know have good luck that it all that way. If it's a machine it will break sooner or later.

I saw a new honda accord snap a balljoint and the wheel fell into the car. *Lot of front end damage.

Honda is not the most reliable. *They just hide there problems and never recall anything. *

Its like arctic cat and all there silent recalls. *Thats what honda does and they fix it on a oil change with out telling you so you never know. *

Arctic cat allways has recalls on there reverse and startors and they still break after the recall was complete.

Machzzzz1, you are right. * Honda isn't that fantastic. * I owned a Honda car and so did my brother, and I owned a Honda mower - but NEVER again! * I've had far fewer problems with my GM products, and I like my 2 stroke Lawn-Boy better than the Honda I had. * They aren't junk, but they aren't as great as many people think.

If honda made a sled I think it will be like the yammie *parts will be more expensive. *I have a honda riding mower I bought in 86 *it works good but the mower deck fell apart. *My wifes Honda accord she had always cost more than my toyota or chevys ever did when it was in for service. *I cured the honda problems anyway * the lawnmower is for sale the accord was traded for a grand cherokee ( it will pulll my sled trailer the honda would not *and I mow the grass with my polaris ATV )

i bought a honda riding lawn tractor not because it is a honda but i wanted to bury the hatchet that contained a family fued with a dealer. liquid cooled and quiet then the white smoke started to come out the exhaust and got me a new headgasket that year. still i like the tractor until an oil change and the oil filter rings in at $30.00 that is big money 2-3 times a season so finally i screwed something else on for $5.00. you have to change the air filter also for $35.00 a crack 2-3 times a season so i have enough of those now that i can clean them ahead of time. here is the sweet thing the last time i bought the three blades {3 blade mower} i paid $90.00 for the set and i change blades 3 times in 2 seasons. one thing for sure about johnny a pan goods is the parts will ruin you at the bank and when you wait for the slow boat to bring the parts your newborn is finished college so you might as well move into a condo.

Honda ATVs are THE car in much of roadless rural Alaska because they are tough and reliable as long as you give fresh oil on a regular basis. A great number of the folks who try Polaris and Yamaha ATVs return to Hondas because they are superior in many ways, especially in relation to their reliability. Bombi and AC, Kaw and Suzuki are pretty small players. There are a bunch of people who would love to try a Honda snowmachine if they ever build one. Anyone who can build a <500 lb, >50 horse, high torque 4-stroke with a wet sump and batteryless ignition will surely sell a bunch of machines in Alaska and maybe other places where these machines do more work than play. I can't think of *anyone more likely up to the task than Honda. Hopefully we'll see.

When you think about Honda snowmobiles don't think about cars and lawnmowers. Think about their motorcycle division. They make some of the best on and off-road motorcycles in the buisiness. I'm not saying they won't have their problems but given their track record in the recreation industry, I wouldn't sell them short.

I'm glad to see this has gotten out of control.lol I saw a year old magizine today that showed Hondas up-coming PWC. I don'y know how I missed it way back then. But to the point, they were asked about entering the sled market and they said it was definetly a possibility. Honda of Americia Motor Co. hasn't denied this one single time. They keep hinting towards it and we already know they had test sleds a few years ago. They have more technology than even Yam possibly so I see it coming. *Know one really knew Yam was going to blow us away with the RX-1. Sure we all knew they could do it. I own an old Honda car, perfect no trouble Accord. My brother has a Honda 400EX, I bought a oil filter and oil at the dealer ($12.80 I might add) and was told they had yet to have a 400 motor from the quad or bike go bad except one kids who didn't change it's oil, that rode several days a week in sand.
It can only help our sport if they enter the market place.

machzzzzz, I'm very dissapointed in youyou would choose a fat yacht like a yamaha before a seadoo RX. I love my 2001 yellow RX carb 68 MPH stock, just tuned.

LOL..

I like the sea doo body way better but the engines dont hold. *I have not had any luck with the rotax marine engines. *

I blew up 2 last season. *I like the fact that yamaha has a triple engine and from what i have seen they seem to be more reliable. *I also filled the cylinders in a bombardier with water twice. I have rolled yamahas and just fliped them around and of i went.

Well im not looking for one now but maybe if bombardier gets that orbital or SDI fuel injection with all the failsafe stuff they have on that new skidoo engine i will look into one. *Maybe I just had really bad luck.

And if it can do 68mph stock then i might just buy one regadless of reliablility.

I'm surprised to see so many people have issues w/ honda. *I had a 00 Civic Si and I drove the piss out of it w/ zero problems. *About 8 of my friends drive honda's w/o any problems.
Anyways, I agree that people should take into account how solid the quality of their ATV's and bikes are. *Another player in the game can only help.

As for there atvs. *Theres nothing really special about them. *Except for the price. *

My friend has a Bombardier traxtor and aside from it being slow as hell and some might say its ugly it has got to be the most capable off roader out there. *The reliability is also excellent. The reason its so heavy is because there using real steel parts instead of plastic like honda and yamaha.

Honda atvs still have problems. *I see them all the time. *They get jammed in revearse and the breaks squeel when its brand new. *No Thanks. *

As for there cars. *Im going to say that they are far from being great. *Ive seen way to many problems with them and the interior is boring on almost all hondas. *Except for the top modles like S-2000 and prelude. *

Im sticking to my camaro and trucks. *

Did you know that a honda prelude gets 34mpg. *And a Camaro SS with 6 speed and the 2.73 rear end gets 34 also. *Except with a LS1 V8 making 320 HP. *

I know because I have a friend with a prelude and a friend with the Camaro SS. *I have a Z28 heavly modded that gets about .4mpg.

ZRT600mtncat - I took the new four stroke jet ski and bread it with a CMX mnt sled. This is its child CF-12MTX.

Just kidding - I took bits and pices off of the cmx and aquatrax and used some of my graphic skills to make it. I could do way better with a better program. I`m just using my MS paint that came with my confuser. I wish I had the program that 8vd uses hes got some cool drawings.

Ditch_Lover,
* Sweet pic, you could start alot if you got that photo passed around. It does look like a real sled, some what. I'd really love to see honda produce a sled. Has everyone seen there new 750cc tripple cyl. sport quad? It's on the cover of the new dirtwheels I believe. It's even got the variable timming like on there cars for more low end torque. and it screems to unheard of rpms for a 4-stroke quad. It also has 11 inches of travel. So if anyone thinks they cant produce a f#8#8~* killer 4-stroke sled your nuts. Honda will build them because we'll buy them in droves.
