Ok i have a 92 f-150 with the stock deck on it heres the kicker... i cant seem to get it out. I have tried many different ways and i cant seem to get it off or lose or anytying and i know i have to be missing something anybody know how? im tryin to put in my new stereo but if i dotn have a deck then it wont do me a bit of good :angry: Ford i tell ya AHH thats why im a dodge man

Not that familiar with the vehicle, but most radio's are supported by their face-plates (re: front), with a singular support on the back. Take your time, don't be impatient, and if all else fails most librarys have vehicle repair manuals that should help you out. It is normally not rocket science, just knowledge.

the way that i under stand it comes off is that you take a small screw driver and put it down each of the 4 holes in the face plate... i cna get one side lose just not the driver side of it and i have been tryin for a week on and off if all else fails theres always a sawzall :devil:

One some cars and trucks you have to pull the whole dash plate that has the sterio in it. Thats how its done in the new dodge rams.

You need to buy the radio removal tool, or use 4 nails or screwdeivers or whatever in the holes o release the radio. It releases the clips and with some wiggling it will come out.

I use a coat hanger, you will need two pieces. Bend the two pieces into a U shape and push it in the holes. This will release the clips. Walmart also sells a tool to do it if you need to go and look at it to see what I am talking about.

i thought it was that because i have one side loose i just cant seem to get the other side..and i dont want to break it incase i sell the truck im going to keep my system ill give ti a shot tommarow if i get my system in im sure you will be able to hear me :D thanks for the tip with the coat hanger xrc i think thats what ill try and thanks to the rest of ya for your input ! just another reason SWRules
