I seem to have noticed on a couple of occassions that people have changed there secondaries for Ski-doo to arctic cat. My question is why?
Are they more reliable?
Do they perform better?
What kind of improvements would I expect to see?
Are there modifications needed to make the change?
Any responses would be appreciated?
Thanks

Smoother shifting, $cheap$, run cooler, springs and helixes are readily available, and they just plain work. To make one work on you skud you would have to change your jack shaft. :withstupid:

Have also been told to use a Bearcat secondary because they are real close to the same diameter as Doo's.

I've ran one on my '97 MXZ583 and '99 MXZ600 and had ER kit on it. The backshift was better and consistant, bearing was much better(much like the TEAM) and with this kit I could adjust for conditions in a few seconds and have run the same all day long. I have a 03 with RER, but feel the 'Cat would be much better on htis sled. I don't want give up the reverse to do it! With the TRA and the Cat secondary I could fine tune this thing to the teeth! Pulled very hard in a drag race and backshift is not like the stock one! I've had it up for sale off and on, but I am not giving it away! -Grover dquaderer@voager.net
