Hi all,
I'm thinking of buying a 1 sled trailer, the aluminum bed (skinny).
I've searched for a few, but have not seen anything that I think is worth the price.
What would you say a good price for one would be?
Thanks

depends on what kind of trailer you are looking for.My friend and I looked for 2 seasons before buying our 2 single enclosed all aluminum trailers from www.eandj.on.ca- they make a real quality trailer and we are now thinking of selling our 2 singles and buying a large in-line 2 place from them. They are equipped with a 3500# greasable axle-14 inch trailer tires.Mine I had done with the chromed wheels and a few other options. They track very well and think I could pull mine behind a bicycle!!LOL! After having numerous other makes-Triton-Northlands-Shorelander-anymore will be built for me by Ed and his son. I paid $3300 Can. for mine.

You may have noticed this already as you have been looking around but most aluminum single trailers are almost the same price as 2 place aluminum trailers. At least they are around here. You may just want to get a 2 place trailer since they're so close in price. This way you always have room for a buddy's sled.

Not when it comes to fully enclosed aluminums-there is quite a bit of difference. As for the single or double open bed trailers--had manyt of them until I used my friends enclosed one.Never have an open one again. These we use all year for both the atvs and the sleds and when you get there all your machines and clothes and gear are nice and dry and clean. As for the big 101 inch doubles-they tow like a big barn door behind you and when you put one of those chessey tin covers on them they are even worse.Last winter while on a weeks tour we left our trailers in the motels parking area for 6 days.It snowed up there all week and in one storm they had like 18 inches. The Triton next to ours had so much accumulated snow on it that it caved the middle of the roof in!! Not a happy triton owner to say the least. Our trailers you can walk on the roof and it doesnt move at all. You get what you pay for in trailers.Good luck!

I bought a 4 x 8 utility trailer from Costo for about $800 Canadian. It is a tilting trailer and with the back gate reversed it makes it a 4 x 10 trailer. I screwed a sheet of plywood to the bottom with a hinged section to flip out over the gate section and attached an old track to it for traction. Works like a charm for a 1 bed trailer, and is still useable as a utility trailer! :inlove: :D

Check out the "TOY CARRIER" plastic topped single trailer, it's light, tows well and the price is right.

Thanks all!
I'm hoping to find a trailer used over the summer. I have priced a few new ones, and the cheapest I have found is $1300 for an open single.
My main goal is to find one that is in good condition, has working lights and is light. I'll be towing it with a Neon... :nervous:

What about a trailer that fits on the end of the trailer hitch witch tilts so you can drive from driver side to passenger side and has 1 single wheel on the back - I would like to take my sled to college but i dont feel like bringing the Hugd 2 place trailer covered up to schoool. Any one have any experienced with these ??
