Friend is looking at a used 2003xcsp/wM10-ace and was asking if I knew how people liked them?? He rides with us mostly trail(tight and rough) and a little off trail. This sled has 1-1/4" track so I would think it would do fairly well off trail. He is also looking at a used 2003xcsp with edge supension. He want's a good ride for the weekend trails and still handles fairly light. Anyone who actually has one would appreciate your input. He is 48 and about 190lbs.
Thanks in advance.

my buddy has the edge suspension, its a real nice sled.
and up until the REV, it was about the best ride out there... it is also very reliable.
on the downside the brake is a bit weak and the chain case makes noise and it sits real low... but overall a very nice sled to get started on, especially if you always ride with your feet in the wells

My sled has the Xtra-10, which is similar to the Edge suspension. This winter I rode my friend's 2002 XCSP 600 with the M-10 suspension. Very good ride in the bumps, and the front end was excellent. I am undecided whether to get one myself, or to get a REV. I am wondering how much better the ride could be on the REV, which essentially has the Edge rear suspension, but on which you sit a full foot further forward. We ride mostly ungroomed trails, and I am always looking for the most comfortable ride. I am 50 and weigh 157.

I ride a02XCSP Edge with a factory M10
can't say enough about this skid frame!
great for high mileage riders
once you get it set up for your riding style there is no equal period
I will never go back
