Was just wondering, who likes to go fast, and who does http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif not so much 1000' or 1/4 mile but when your sled totally unwinds how fast, also should be radar or GPS. unit. *ALL stock speedos suck *http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif especially cats http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif *Also if your stock or otherwise,, *I have gone 115.2 on stock zrt800,, 4100 miles, with reverse http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Have gone 125 mph on a 99 zrt800, v-force reeds. *This was checked on a speedcheck radar detector, the day i did that i was jumping all over with speed it would read 112 then, 108, then back up to 125, not sure what was going on you figure it out. *I don't run resistor plugs so that might be the problem. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif Also the day i did that a Xcr 800 did 118 and a XC 500 did 102, i was mostly impressed with the 500.

Hey zert mnt cat,I think you had better get a new radar gun,or you are dreaming .
There is no way a stock zrt 6oo long track will go 148.5 mph,and I'm sure all you tcat and zrt 800 owners will agree with me on that.

Fastest I have had on radar was just under 100mph. *That was in 1000' w/no studs and all stock aside from a clutch and gear kit. *Hard pack the speedo has been between arctic and cat(guessing probably around 105mph actual speed) *When I get back I will have to see what I get on radar now that I have studs and a few other mods done. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I was kidding about the 9 sec 148 stuff, My ZRT is now geared lower for more pull. I did see my speedometer touch the 100 MPH mark 3 times this season but am not sure how fast it can go. It was still pulling at 100 but don't think it can go faster than that anyway. With the stock gearing I had it way buried many times, I guess that the other ZRT owners I spoke with say that is about 115 MPH. But I really do not know, only a radar gun can tell the truth and I don't have one.

My Dodge Coronet 440 went 112 in the 1/4 mile with 4.10 gears, and top speed (aerodynamic wall, don't let other HotRodders fool you) with 2.76 gears was 134 MPH (I got out of the ticket too.)

Granted I had a spanking new D&D clutch kit installed.

However I am well aware that these speedo's are not very acurete. *But i tell you I was moving, kinda of gave me a fright when I realized how fast I was going.

He had to be spinning like a MO-FO or something. *The cat speedos are way off, but not 30mph off! *From what I have seen on GPS, they are about 10mph off once the you are hooked up and have no track spin/slipping, give or take a couple mph.

hi there phazer: *the fastest we had a zrt6 up to on hard packed snow is 95 mph. so what does the speedo say on thoes sleds im shure that it dsnt just say 150km they always roll right into the arctic sign.

In an wide open run(a mile or better)average speed is around 110mph on GPS. *That is with a stock sled aside from clutching. *On mine it speedo showed the "T" or "I" in Arctic, so that would be off by "roughly" 10mph or so...
You should be able to get better than 95mph with a ZRT 600. *Even the new ones(which are turds in stock form) will do better than that.
What(if anything)has been done to that ZRT and what year is it?? *It needs help! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
