Does anyone have one of these?I am going to buy one and I want to know how they are in terms of speed, gas mileage, reliability, and suspension? Or if anyone has one close to it or a YZ 125. Post a picture also if you have.

Thanks

My buddie has a '94 YZ PW80. It has mono-shock rear suspension. IT rides smooth and runs even smoother. Really good motor. WE drove it all day in warm weather and over-heated it and it was running for 10min with spark-plug cap off and started right back up after it cooled off.

Far as i know it is very reliable, and good on gas. They go pretty good too. Well sortof. I constantly have it maxxed out in 3rd gear. Does maybe 40km/h??

not quite the same things we are talking about, this is a 2-stroke 80cc, liquid cooled, should do about almost 3 times the speed you were talking about, lol. should do almost 70/mph

LOL. Ok, then we are talking about completely different bikes. His isnt liquid cooled. Its also the PW Y-zinger which is the smaller version of the 80cc YZ.

I had one a long time ago. All those two stroke mx bikes are pretty predictable in terms of service and reliability. If you ride them on the weekends plan on doing you're top end every 2-3 years. Its easy and cheap. For seals go bad alot on older bikes especially if you're jumping alot. Again cheap and fairly easy to replace. In terms of speed, it should fly as long as everything is in good shape. Not a whole lot of power on the lower end but when you hit the high end of the power band thats usually where these bikes really take off. 70mph is probably around the top end but they bikes are built for acceleration not top end, so thats where the fun is. If the rear shock has never been rebuilt I would take it to a good shop and get it done. Especially if you plan on jumping. How big are you? You'll probably out grow that 80 pretty quick and if you really want to jump you'd be better off on a 125 because the suspension is much, much better. If you're over 5'5 and have ridden before hold out for a 125 that will keep you interested for a few years, rather than a few months.
