Could someone clarify something for me? The stock drive belt on a 2001 mxz 800. Is it a 417-300-127 or - 067?

I thought it was -127 but i am seeing modified clutch setups use the -067?

i would have to say the mod clutch set ups are useing a softer belt!

on my 800 ive been told to use a 600 belt softer than the 800

According to SKI-DOO specs. the 127 belt is 36.35mm and the 067 belt is 35.0mm

I personally have better luck with the -067 belt on my 02 800 doo :) . I know that the length is a little different but, if you set belt deflection as your supposed to do, it works great. The manufacturers tolerance on a belt is +/- .250 in thier manufacturing process  ! It is wise to make sure belt deflection is set properly whenever you put a new belt on. I also look at mine, and reset it before I go out for the weekend ;) .

I run the 127 on my moded 01 mxz 800 and it works flawless.

the 127 is stock and is a much softer belt. With agressive clutching I was going through these things like crazy. I prefer the 067

I was wondering which one was softer. - thanks... I need to buy a new belt this year. I think i may go with the 067. I used to run that belt on my 670ho and I seemed to get allot of life out of it.
