With so many aftermarket ski's and now the OEM jumping on the bandwagon, what out there is working.
I know for a fact that the Doo precision ski's are great for hard pack and ice, but DO not work well in the powder.
What do you think about your ski's and why?
What is the BEST all-around ski? ie...OEM, USI,...ect.
I just bought a pair of precision skis for my ZX 800. Kinda curious as to how good they are as far as darting goes. Not sure if they will bite like the rockers but time will tell. The majority have said they suck in powder. most say 4" carbide on inside and 6" outside.
Only other ski I would consider trying is the C&A pros. Getting expensive though...

I run precisions on mine and I agree that they suck in the loose powder. They really help with the darting issue. That is until everyone in your group has them. Then you still dart around because you are following a bunch of tracks just like yours.
I run 6" on the inside and 4" on the outside. The outside of your ski lifts as you turn for a corner. I want to keep the 6" piece on the ground.

Your right! I forgot about them liking to follow the tracks of other precision ski's.

Both Idooski and I are running 1.25 tracks with 144 1.325 Woody's down the middle. I have the stock carbides on mine and had to really put the weight to the front to get it to turn. Idooski on the other hand is running the "shaper" bars on his with 6" on the inside and 4" on the outside and it seems to work well. BTW, both sleds are "02 800 zx's

I find it kind of funny how last season I said that I don't like my precisions because they suck in powder and go under the snow. And everyone else said they never had a problem and were not that bad. And now the truth comes out. I would get C&A's next time.
But I am just having a bad day and am very bitter. :cussing:

The C&A's are a good ski, but I think the Powder Pro's are just a little better than the C&A's. I liked how they handled in the powder and hard pack.
