Funny you mention this today.
I uncovered the sled, pulled up a chair, cracked a beer and went into a trans. I found myself on my most memoryable trip last winter north of Gaylord climbing hill after hill of 3' un-touched powder. The hills were so steep going down you could lock the brakes and not slow down a bit. Thank god I had a 136 paddle, the rest of the guys had 121's and worked their arse's off getting around, hehehe :D

Ive started going threw my sled allready. Its still a little tough to get motivated when its in the mid 80's out. But its still fun to tinker a bit.

Ive got the front arms off for sanding, cleaning of the rust and repaint. I hate rust. SD has gotten pretty poor about the quality of the paint jobs that they do on the steel parts. My sled is only outdoors for riding and almost never see's any road salt. My older SD's never had paint related problems like this.

New add ons for this season so far......V-Force III Reeds. Red/Yellow Precision Ski bottoms w/ StudBoy 4.5" Shaper Bars. MBRP Wide kit. ShadeTree powersports has a great deal on the wide kits. They are being closed out. Last year they sold for @ $200 US. I got them for $139 less 20% so they netted out at @ $112US. New ZX style mirrors too. To many tree huggs at 70mph took there toll on the mirrors last season :p Those ZX style mirrors are kinda wide.

I still got a few more wants on the wish list.

Only 9 more weeks till the Epping/Freemont NHSA grass drags, the unofficial kick off to get motivated and ready for the season

Well Jim, I too am in the Land of Lincoln and ride in St. Germain.

Thing is, he have to pray they get snow this winter. Been some poor winters up there in recent years.

I only went once last year around Valentine's Day, and then pooooof, it was gone.

Here's to hope!

mmmm.... snow :inlove:

I can barely wait. I am going to pick up a new sled (to me at least) in less than a week and will probably be doing some minor cosmetic work to it, and then it will likely sit in storage until Old Man Winter decides to get off his lazy butt.

My wife told me in April no sled talk until September, so I decided to buy my two little girls a z120 with a wheel kit so they could at least ride in the summer. So far the wife is ok with it. I'll be picking the sled up in the next two weeks. At least that will be better than waiting for snow.

Sure the girls will have a blast. Know what it's like to try and keep the wife happy, losing cause! :)

At the very least, a couple of the sled magazines come out in August. I'm getting tired of reading all my past issues. I need something new.

Not sure if I can think about sleddin yet. There is a chance I may not get to do any this winter. I am haveing surgery on my neck this friday. Hopefully everything will be all healed up by the time the white stuff hits the ground.

I've been thinking about snow. But I found some new hobbies to keep my mind off it. I got a motorcycle this summer and started dirt track racing. I work on my car too much so that keeps my mind off of snow!

the fastest seadoo will not catch a Rev ( morgan anyway) on water. he has run alot of seadoos and nothing touched it yet. that sled flys . it is unreal what that sled can do on water. you just have to be there to see it for your self because when ya tell someone that never believe ya anyway.

OK guys so we see in that picture that a sled can beat a sea doo in water, or should i say on its on turf. i am just wondering how well a sea doo would do on snow or ice. HAHAHA :D

yeh its really gonna bite when some start riding and the others still have grass on there fron lawns and we have to sit here and read about how much fun guys r having.

if i didnt have racing to keep my mind off sledding somewhat, i would go insane.
