I was at the local hardward store this morning and I noticed they sold Amsoil. Are these decent U.S. Prices?

Standard 2-Cycle Synthetic Oil
$17.97 for a Gallon
$4.75 for a Quart

Thanks

Fair, but not cheap. If you get a "preferred customer" or dealer acount it's around 13.50 a gallon. There are also good prices on oil at the sled shows.

Right now I’m running Arctic Cat Extreme Oil. I have finished my supply at the end of last season and am looking at switching to Amsoil. It’s okay to just switch to the synthetic isn’t? The sled has very little oil in it now so,…would it be okay if I just bought the Amsoil and just went a head and added it?

I guess what I’m getting at is there anything special I need to do to switch to Amsoil. ???

THANKS

No, you don't need to do anything special. Just start adding Amsoil.
Check out Amsoil's web site, for pricing. If you going to do a decent size order, spend the $10.00 for preferred pricing and save yourself some money.

You probably paid less than $18 USD per gallon at that rate, especially with what the exchange was last year.

What do I have to do to qualify for a dealer account, 13.50 a gallon for synthetic is a great price? :0:

If you're not going to sell a lot, you're probably better off with a preferred customer account. Amsoil here (http://www.amsoil.com/preferredorder.htm)
When you add in the dealer/preferred-customer fee and shipping, it's going to add a few bucks to the price, depending of course on how much you buy. The best buy is to just get enough for the whole winter when you're at the sled show, if you have a show near you.

One of the guys I know @ work has the dealer deal. All he sells is the sled oils, doesn't bother w/ the other stuff. A bunch of us buy quite a few cases off him before the season starts. Plus he has a bit on hand if we need it thru the season.

He divides the dealer fee over the initial order & it's paid off for him for the year.

 Can someone give me their experiences with ordering direct from Amsoil, and can you buy with a Preferred customer account at a local distributor or trade show, would be nice to save shipping. If anyone has the dealer account, how much do you pay per gallon?

2-cycle oil, what's that? And why would anyone need a case of it? My sled only holds about 3.2 quarts and I only change it once a season :D

:D The only oil you will need, is for your back in a few years after picking your sled up! :p I hear Shark cartilage and Rooster comb work good for loosing up a stiff back, ha ha SWRules
