I've used Castrol Super Clean on my stuff for the past couple of years. Be very careful though as this isn't meant for clothes, but I've used it on mine and have had decent results. You'll have to scrub it a bit with it then launder it to get the cleaner out. I would assume somebody here probably knows of a less harsher way to degrease clothes though. I've gotten tar out with Go-Jo Gel hand cleaner as well, that works really well.

scrub in some Goop with a toothbrush, let soak for a half-hour, then wash.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, WD-40 WORKS WELL ON ALOT OF STAINS. I EVEN USE IT TO PRE-WASH MY HANDS. I'VE USED IT ON CHAULKING AND SO MANY OTHER THINGS I CAN'T KEEP TRACK. AT WORST, DON'T LISTEN TO ANYONE, TAKE IT TO A DRY CLEANER AND TELL THEM EXACTLY WHAT IT IS, IT WILL BE WORTH THE MONEY.

I should have added, Castle recommends that you wash their jackets in cold, and dry immediately, to avoid the colors running.

I used Goop to remove grease from my new Cat Jacket last spring. Worked great!!

I think it is important to catch it ASAP though.

wd-40 is great for many uses, including tar remover.I like to use no flash electrical contact cleaner for grease stains on carpet and clothing.
