Total Estimated Time: 20 hours, 41 minutes
Total Estimated Time: Total Distance: 1247.61 miles
If you drive real fast you probly could do it in 15hours :p
LOL :p i really think 15 hrs would be pushin it, sense its about 4 hrs from my house to your house. not to mention the time i would waste getting lost.
a guy bought a sled from use last fall and he never even seen the sled. but knew a friend who was passing buy our area with a flatbed transport. thats the ideal way to get one, if u know someone with transport. or is it possible to FeDex a sled. hehe:D
The guys didnt seem to want to crate it do you have to put a sled in a crate to ship it with a shiping company?
paul yarek 08-07-2003, 12:13 PM zeb,
if the vendor uses ebay regularly and at first said he would ship the sled and now won't tell the ebay people. ebay will not let him use ebay again.
After i get my sled i will :D
mxzx94 08-07-2003, 12:23 PM Hey Zeb, If you can get this sled to central N.Y. I can haul it to Maine in October. I'm going to Jackman to hunt moose. Just let me know. :D
Thanks for the interest but i think i would end up paying just as much to get it you new york as it would to get it to my house and i kinda want it sooner :D But maby if i cant find someone to get it to my house direcly
Dose anyone know if you have to have it crated to ship it?? anyone know a shiping company that would ship it for me without a crate?

Try Yellow Frieght. They shipped a commercial mower for me on a pallet. Well, Thats the way it came to me. I was buying not selling. I don't think you can insure it, if its not crated. But for the amount of money you spent. I don't think it matters if something did happen to it.
RavmanSS 08-07-2003, 07:41 PM hey zeb, on the ebay motor's homepage there is a link under the service area of the page for a vehicle shipping company that could possibly help you. that's a bummer that he did that to you and make sure you do what paul said earlier and report the loser.
by the way if the sled was in pennsylvania i pick it up for ya. i'm heading there on the 22nd for a week and if it was close to my parent's place i probably do it for free. good luck,
steve
Sled Dogg 08-07-2003, 08:05 PM See if the guy will at least build a pallet. Lay three 4x4 lenght wise and 2x4 over the top of it. then strap it down. Keep it 48" wide or less and call companys like Yellow freight,ABF, foward air etc. I worked at a company and they'd have all sorts of loose crap in there trailers when they delivered to us. And if you can pay say a local dealer by your seller to through it on a factory pallet or crate and use there fork truck to load it it'll be even cheaper for you.
I finaly found a shiping company that would do it thanks to Caleb Lamley thanks for the help eveyone
Sled Dogg 08-08-2003, 07:53 PM Glad that I could help you. Just so everyone know's I sent him to Jeremy Hill 800-323-5441 ext1569 @ Freightquote.com and it is only costing him like $320 bucks from Wi to Maine!!! Tell him caleb @ Home Towne Financial sent you.
Mighty RX-1 08-08-2003, 08:41 PM I'm in Michigan and sold my RX-1 to a guy in Maine this past March. He said it was a really nice drive.
Fast Mach Z 08-10-2003, 02:38 PM There are companies that ship Motorcycles all the time and they ususally do sleds too. Check on the Internet for some. Good Luck! As a last resort, go to Eastern Cycle Performance website and call Freddie. He has the name of a hauler too.
