I purchased a new '02 Viper back in 2001 and loved it. Did not get to put a real lot of miles on but I really enjoyed the sled. Last year I had to miss the riding season due to an injury so I sold my viper. I'm all ready for the upcoming winter but I can not decide which new sled to get. I have it narrowed down to the Viper S or a Rev 600HO... I have never ridden a rev so its a tough choice for me. The trails around here a very rough and I like to hit them hard.

Go with it the rev! Im not a fan (not my type of riding in the area and also not a ski-doo fan) of it but for the rough stuff its the one! I did ride some and in straght line in the big stuff its quite impressive.

Do you feel the rev will be as reliable? And what about gas mileage? I loved the power all the way through with the triple cylinder Viper, will I be upset with the 600HO power?

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

It rocks for a 600 and the ride is undeniably the best. Reliability will be good but it's not a Yamaha. I would recommend the REV with an extended warranty. Don't get a leftover 03, too many little issues that appear to have been ironed out for 04. I also recommend the sdi, the 600 HO didn't pass any gas stations.

As Mighty said...reliability wont be as good as the Yamaha. Must agree on that one.For the rest I don't know I dont own one.

My Dad has one and he loves it. I rode it a couple of times and while not a Ski-
Doo fan, I really liked the way it handled.
