i have a 96 / zrt 800 with a steel bulk head. has any body change theres to the new style aluminum version or put there 800zrt in a drifrent chassis like the 99 zr 600 style, would it fit or am i waisting my time trying to put it in there . i;m looking for a lighter front end or a newer updated ride any, with the longer a- arm front end info will help thank you

Unless you have a lot of time and money to burn, why bother? Doing an engine swap with that ZR will only be the beginning of your headaches. I have a 99 T with lightweight parts up front, and it still drives like a tank. It's fantastic in the straight line, but in no way does it compare to the new light twins. If you want to do something with your existing power train, contact one of the Mountain Sled shops (ie: Fabcraft) and get set up with a whole new tunnel. You'll be much happier with the result.
