I am in the process of rebuilding my rear skid. The rear link is mounted in the rear holes but there is a hole that sits just in front. Is this hole for adjustment or just a spare? If so could a person put the rear brkt in this hole setting and gain a little more suspension? SWRules

You won't gain more suspension but it will be a softer ride, you will have to move up your coupler bar also. If you are a light person this is a great mod but will possibly bottom out more, remember you should be bottoming out about 10% of the time on a rough trail or your suspension is too stiff.
Stock is usually second hole back from the front.

BG, You can see what changing the holes will do for you. The skid will collapse easier in the front hole, may bottom out too. I could not get my wifes panther two up soft enough, so I moved it forward, helped very much. Also on my last ZL I put on coupling blocks, best add on ever! really changed the whole rear end! No more bouncin around. See ya Honk

I have a 03' zr900. I have moved the scisors back one hole. I left the crossbar that stops the the scisors from moveing forward were it was. I gained about 2" of travel. The sled really rides nice. soft on the shutters and stiff in the biggies. Question. Will I hurt anything by leaving it like that(topping out shock, etc) I got the Idea from a lenco product I saw in a cataloge. It claims up to 3" of travel gained. Any thoughts on doing this?
