After 3 Machs then going to a Blue RX-1 last year something was missing. I thought it was because I switched makes. Nope, it was the color! Boy does this Black Warrior look nice in my trailer :inlove:

On the right sled the black can look awesome. My last ZX chassis sled i ordered in black. Loved it. Add some contrasting add ons and you can have one heck of a nice lookin sled.

The new warrior is real sweet looking IMO. I am sure you will love the longer skid frame with more aggressive track, it will rock just like the gades.

Mighty, thats the black they should of used last year. They look really sharp with that gloss black and bright yellow stickers, will that 1.25 ripsaw going to have to put up with a turbo this winter? :D

If I was smart enough to figure out how to post a picture I would. I have tried and I keep getting a error saying that the file is too big. I have my digital camera set at the lowest quality it will go. I think it's like 300kb and this site says the largest I can post is 150kb. Any idea's?

Use the editing SW that came with the camera. Even at the lowest setting, it's still probably 640x480 (at least) and not at all optimized for the web. You could even use something like "Paint" and resize it to 400xwhatever, that should trim the size considerably and still be plenty big to view on this site.

Spikegary,
Straighten-up your garage a little bit. :cussing: :cussing: Sled is awesome but come on, clean the floor up a little bit, straighten up those tool boxes, hang those ladders up, pick-up those tie-downs and hang them on a "nail". Put those Oil bottles on a shelf. I want to see a picture of the garage when your done "policeing the Joint". :D :D

Too busy having fun to clean up all that stuff..........That was after my 1st ride on the RX-1. Notive the dead cat in the back. It'll be alive again this season, though I'm not sure who'll ride it! My 'Rock' sled.

With the RX-1, I don't need the oil, so that is on the shelf...........

Just kiddin' ;) Good luck weathering out the storm. Were getting some of the rain from the hurricane here in Michigan today.

Keep us posted as to what happens to your garage, and by all means, protect that RX-1 from the storm.

Looks Really Nice. I'd love to do that to the floor in my garage. I've seen some other stuff-it's gray with white and black speckles.

The garage looks good-we sold a bunch of stuff, put my son's motorcycles in and his new snowmobile. We also made a massive donation to the Salvation Army. You'd be proud........

Sounds good Spikegary. The out side of the house is Beige in color thats why I went with that color of floor paint. I like the gray too, we have that color at work. Good luck on your choice of colors, either way you go it will look like a Showroom when your done. Your Warrior with thank you when your done.

Does it stand up to carbides? I have a bit of a rise to get into the garage, normally I ride in, then put the sled on the rollers.

Sorry Spikegary..........the floor does not stand-up to carbide. You have to keep them on the rollers.

Wonder what I could do? The garage floor is about 6 inches above the driveway and pushing the sled up on rollers even in the not winter season is a chore. It seems like it would be near impossible during the season. Maybe a chunk of carpet at the doorway? Any ideas?

You could also use the plastic slip-on boots. That's what I use in the garage and on the trailer.

Hey Gary can you get a car in there? Six inches is alot! I use the thing that picks the sled right up, and then take it right outside so I don't screw up my concrete. Honk

From what I understand, the previous owners had a problem with water running in when it was raining-or snow melting, so they raised the floor in the garage, and they used tar to up-slope to the garage. I normally ride in, then put the sled on rollers.

Carbide boots? Never seen them. Where can I find them? A section of carpet would be a pain-putting the rollers under and trying to get it off carpet........

Mighty and Warrior, just out of curiousity, why did you pick the Warrior over the regular RX1? My GF's dad just bought the black RX1 non-Warrior. I know the differences in the two, just wondering what made you decide to go Warrior of the regular. He also lives in Michigan, and said he didn't see a need for the longer track around here. Just wondering what made you go with the Warrior. Nice Sleds guys!

I had an RX-1 last year and was very pleased with the exception of the rear skid in certain conditions. The track sucked and I really didn't like the ski-lift.

I rode a buddies older two-up while he rode my RX-1. I couldn't believe how good it rode and came to the conclusion it was because of the longer rear skid. Instead of the ### end dropping into the moguls and chatter bumps, it bridges them.

After thinking about it awhile, I decided that I was gonna put a 136 extension kit on my RX-1. I priced out everything I would need; the kit and track plus the updates for the ski-lift; stiffer sway bar, longer links, straight rate springs etc. and then priced out an 04 Warrior. Other pluses to getting a Warrior was the clicker shock in the rear skid. In the end, with what I sold my RX-1 for and the extra money I needed to come up with for the 04 it was a wash (came out about even).

I figured it was a no brainer, so Now I have an 04 Warrior instead of an 03 RX-1 that was converted to a warrior.

136 inches in my opinion is the perfect track length. Not too long to cost you much top end or push too much in the corners and just long enough to let you play in the powder and give a much better ride with much better hook up. And did I mention better Hook up  It should be awesome, especially with that ripsaw :D

I just wanted to say that I really disliked the black RX-1's & Warriors which I saw at the snowmobile show, but with the accents you've added to your's - that machine looks awesome!
