hi everyone,

i have a 99 zr 500 and after extensive jumping the bellypan finally gave way. *right in front of the a-arms where the side plastic connects with the front. it happened on both sides. so the question is can these be welded with a plastic welder or should i just buy new ones?http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

thanks
Kevin

Just buy new ones, plastic welders do work but mainly on less stressed areas have I seen success. *good luck

A company called SEM makes a flexible bumper repair. *Used it on the hoods and it works real well. *Flexes with the hood. *Try it on the bottom. *Can get it at a body repair shop. *Good luck.

I 've seen several belly pans and cowls(plastic welded) with much success.By the sounds of it your sled isn't babied so i wouldn't bother putting a whole new section on it,just weld it and shes good to go. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
