Has anyone found power when changing pipes and what is working.

Hoos.....I've added a Dynoport single and muffler to my 700..
I can't say it added any horsepower, but it definitely dropped some weight.
This set-up is also a perfect fit, so there is no cutting under the hood. Slightly louder than stock at idle, and a bit raspy wide open. Also, I'll give Dynoport a pat on the back...the combo is not a trail closer.

I put pipes on my 2000 700 last year. They sound awesome but didn't add much power, but I already had it clutched very well by a friend of mine that raced one. Crank Shop claims about an 8-10 hp gain, but they also recomend their head cut, which I didn't do because of down-time. I have heard from others that twin pipes don't do much on the Doo twins without porting.
Crack Shop also told me that you don't need pipes to benefit from the head cut, it will help a stock motor.
If you want a set of twins, I have mine for sale for $300.00 US. I bought an 800 Last spring and am putting the 700 back to stock to sell. I have all you need to put these on a round slide carbed sled including a set of EGTs. If you want to hear them I still have them on the sled. PM me if you are interested.

A friend put jaws twins on a summit, used their head/shim/rave springs. Looked REAL good on the dyno, sucked on the hill. It seemed like it was one mainjet from running good or not, we hoped the dpm would keep it consistant, it didn't. He gave up on it (too soon IMO).

big debate on this a few times now.I have crankshops twins on an 00 700,I found 9 hp on the dyno and it shows when I race stock sled against it,even with a rider that is 50 lbs heavier it is consistantly faster/quicker.I have the dpm as well and find myself not tinkering to get it to run good,it runs great ,and consistantly.
