: So Much For My New Sled
FishHog 09-03-2003, 10:09 AM Well, as much as I swore I would never move again, I broke down and bought a new house. Spent all my new sled funds ???
But, its on the water, with a dock and a boat lift so I can park my boat right out front. Its always been a dream of mine to live on the St. Clair River, so I guess I can ride my old sled for another couple of years.

Sounds like a great place! Those fish better really watch out now! :D
yeh i am pretty sure i could run me sled for a few more years if had a chance to buy waterfront. he just think, if that river frezzes in the winter, u have your own drag strip for your sled. :D
FishHog 09-03-2003, 10:58 AM Unfortunately, due to the current of about 6 miles/hour, it never freezes over. But Roy's right, the fish are in trouble now. :D
jwheeler 09-03-2003, 11:14 AM That sounds cool fishy!
SD_Sledhead 09-03-2003, 11:38 AM Hey fishy do you ever musky fish on the St Clair? I was up last summer and went musky fished there and had a great time! #### I'd sit out of snowmobiling for a whole year if I could get some waterfront property there, or atleast afford it! :D
paul yarek 09-03-2003, 12:12 PM i'll have to get down and see the new place Fishy.
FishHog 09-03-2003, 12:21 PM Anytime buddy, but I don't get it until Nov 19. I hate waiting for new things.
SD - Lake St. Clair is amazing for fall Muskie fishing. They say its the best muskie fishery in North America. I'm on the St. Clair river that flows into the lake. We don't get too many muskie there, but the odd one.
Walleye are the usual species caught, but good Salmon and Trout in the Spring and fall.

jtkennedy9 09-03-2003, 12:33 PM Congratulations on your new house Fishy!
MikeD 09-03-2003, 12:44 PM congrats fishy ..... I'm envious.
I have heard about the great musky fishing on St. Clair.
When can I come and visit Fish? I would love to go out for some musky!
We sled out of my cottage. We make are own drag strip. Plus there is a spot were everyone drags anyways. For the people that know where Madoc is its right in front of 2 Loons restaurant on Moira Lake.
Congrats on the new house.
XCR583 09-04-2003, 12:58 AM Congradulations on the new house!! The fish will know to stay away from there now!!
I hope to move out of this little box and get a house next year. Cant wait to finish school!!
trailblazer 09-04-2003, 04:02 AM Congrats Fish Hog.
Jacqui and I will have to drop by next summer some weekend when we're camping at Arkona. You and her can enjoy a nice cold OV.
Are you able to sled to the trails east of Sarnia, or do you have to trailer out to there.
Happy moving :nervous:
Jeff
PowderBoy 09-04-2003, 05:27 AM hog i think the fish are moving too.... away from your dock. hahaha congrats. I just looked at a house yesterday where i live. On the water with dock in a small harbor for $799,000 .... who do they think i am? my fiance saw this and forgot to look at the price.... turns out the house is owned by a professional hockey player. hahaha
LadyK 09-04-2003, 09:57 AM Congrats Fishy, I am sure you and Mrs. Fishy will enjoy it. Those muskie better watch out! You may find Perm on your doorstep one day with all those muskie there. He says all other fish are bait :) As far as your new ride goes at least ya got one and you arent sitting out altogether. We will miss you at the Pinestone this year :( but you gotta doo what ya gotta doo buddy.
FishHog 09-04-2003, 10:20 AM Thanks for the all the good wishes everyone.
Anyone of you are free to drop by. There is always cold beer in my fridge.
But I'll let Trailblazer and Jacqui bring the OV (mmmmm......OV). As for the trails east of Sarnia, we have to trailer a bit, unless there is lots of snow. We usually start from Strathroy, but some years can catch them from Wyoming.
Come on PB, if I had your money, I'd burn mine. Whats 3/4 of a million. Atleast thats US, try converting to Canuck bucks. ;)

PowderBoy 09-04-2003, 10:25 AM I told my fiance she was going to have to find a job working for donald trump, either that or pose for playboy if she wanted that house. I dont know why i even went to the house with her. From now on leave the house buying to me.
On that note. today starts a new day.... lowest decent 3 bedroom. 1800 square house $399,000 at that for a knockdown
FishHog 09-04-2003, 10:38 AM Yikes!!!!!
Thats why we decided to buy now. We have been watching prices for quite a few years, and they just keep going up. Figured if we didn't jump on it now, it would be twice the price, by the time we thought we could afford it.
FishHog
P.S. If you want to cut Playboy out of the loop, just send some pics of the fiance to me directly, and I'll send you the money. ;)
PowderBoy 09-04-2003, 11:05 AM i dont need money i need a big fish to put over the fireplace maybe we could work something out hahaha.... she didnt find that one too amusing either. Havent had her snowmobiling yet but she has already made it clear she will not ride tandem with me. just when i have it all figured out. NOw i have to buy two frikin snowmobiles... oh and it gets worse... my normal $2600 a year cabin rental isnt good enough for her she wants one thats bigger and has "real beds" so thats another drop in the bucket for a huge chalet in the mountains.... By the time i put all this together she'll hate all of it..... lol gotta love women
Wolfman 09-04-2003, 12:26 PM Congrats Fishy. Look at it this way. That old sled will shine a bit brighter when you look at that dream home. Enjoy it for all it's worth and then some. Of course, we're gonna want to see pics of the new casa!!!

sometimes its more of a Love/Hate relationship.
But mine makes more than me, so usually I love her :D
FishHog 09-04-2003, 06:30 PM Well, I just sold my old house, for a little more than I thought we would get, so maybe I'll have to start sweet talking to Mrs Fishie.
Man, the forsale sign was up for 1 1/2 days, and I got a cash offer for 98% of what I was asking. Maybe I should have asked for more. :(
OH well, I'm happy, and beers on me when you guys visit. Although I still want one of them Ski-doo fishing lures. ???
