help,i need your opinions.have a 2002 800 rmk.buddy and i talking about mods,he has same with a 151 track, mine is 144.he wants longer track and leaves engine the same, figures that is the way to go on steep stuff.i am not sure,i thought if i leave the track alone but go with chubby single and a head and air box kit ,i would still be better off.they say the new electronic reverse with the roller secondary gives you about a 5 mph track speed gain.cost for track,159 and rail extensions, tunnel extension for mine is more than performance mods.
any ideas on which way to go,whats best bang for buck?????
any oppinions appreciated.
thanks, Tim ;)

Snowstruck if I were you I have heard that SLP single is alot better than the chubby single and give good power at elevation and is alot easier to tune

Yep, don't bother with that Hot Seat POS. Also, the advantage would depend on conditions. In fluffy pow, he'd be better off with the longer track, but in more setup snow, the 144 with extra power should be better. It also depends on who is setup properly. This has been extensively discussed on Snowest. You'll find more answers there because I've only scratched the surface.

You would want good traction for the deep stuff. But you also need the power to move the traction if you know what i mean ???
