NDMtnSledder 09-07-2003, 10:48 PM Just got home from haydays took off saturday morning early and got there by 12 left at 6 went back in the morning tell about 12 and came home. Going for both days this year was alot better then trying to get there and back in one day to much driving and to much to see. Still didn't even come close to making it through everything. New snopro looks pretty nice didn't ckeck out the others. I like the new seat on there. Found all sorts of deals probably to many haha.
HJC open face helmet
Carbon Tech Reeds
Carbides
Aceberis hand gaurds
Red light covers (the ones i've been looking for that cat doesn't make)
Coat for my dad.
MBRP can
Way to much stuff but saved quite a bit to. Noticed that you have to be carefull and know what stuff costs normaly cause some things that look like deals aren't. So what did everyone else come home with?
A.K.A. THUMPER 09-07-2003, 10:59 PM WHAT is " Haydays" ..... Is that when the farmers do there hay??
NDMtnSledder 09-07-2003, 11:19 PM Hay days is a grass drag and swap meet in Lino Lakes, MN. I'm guessing it takes up about an entire quarter of land 160acres or so. I think its the largest swap meet and drag in the country. Check this link out its the club that puts it on www.snowbarons.com
bigdawg5565 09-08-2003, 03:09 AM Heydays is where you find anything you need for snowmobiling and then some. It is the largest swap meet in the U.S.
98 EXT 09-08-2003, 05:42 PM Saw the new cat sno=pro, looks sweet, saw lots of great racing, boy was it frigging hot again!!! 92 f, hard to get in the mood to tryon bibs and coats, or a helmet.
NDMtnSledder 09-08-2003, 06:58 PM I know what you mean 98EXT I was supposed to find that coat for my dad and put it off tell the end couldn't bring myself to try on a coat. Atleast they didn't run out of water this year.

We have the Freemont NHSA drags and water cross going on in October. The temps then are much nicer for trying on gear  I have a hard time motivating to do anything with my sled after the temps go to 80+
Greensnow 09-08-2003, 08:43 PM I got a chance to see the freestyle demos. The guy jumping the sled was nuts. He was nuts because the was wearing a jacket! :p Its seems that haydays is always the hottest day of the year

Thanks for the explan... just been hearing people talking about it just couldn't grab what is was about....
FZ700 09-10-2003, 09:04 AM I was in line Friday to get into the swap, talk about a dust bowl!
Saturday was too hot, we sold some parts but it could have been better.
On Sunday there were some great deals to be had. Swappers were asking for your best offer. Jimmxz and picked up a bunch of parts and riding gear.
You did not see too many sleds being sold, mainly parts and clothing.
I picked up a set of FXR Nitro pants and pull over for $100, and a 3 window EGT with probes for $200. Picked some new clutch parts also.
By the way, did you see the guy do a back flip on that little 50cc? Those guys are nuts!!
jdsmi 09-10-2003, 11:22 AM Didn't spend too much. Everything you touched or saw was nothing but dust. Found a jacket for one of the kids luckily early Saturday before it became a dust bowl. Also bought a dust colored leather jacket pretty cheap. I got it home and found out it was red and black.
Those lime-green snowcones were awsome but the highlight was the guy pounding that Rev into the face of the hill. That had to hurt!
98 EXT 09-10-2003, 12:41 PM I will agree with the Cat sno-cones, they saved my butt frm the heat. I think I had 5 or so. That and Waldoch selling drinks cheap. My only complaint is that seating for watching the grass drags, which I thought was the main point of this event is horrible. There is not enough and the sight lines are horrible. In previous years at least there was both sides to view from, but now with only being able to view from the south side things are cramped. The bleachers that are 100+ feet beyond the finish don't make any sense. How about some grandstands at the launch pad also?
jdsmi 09-10-2003, 01:40 PM :withstupid: I forgot to mention that. They definitely they need to do something about the stands. I sat up there for a while and it was AWFUL!
XC700BB 09-13-2003, 01:26 AM jdsmi, i have to agree the guy on the Rev, when he landed had to hurt. Were you still down on that end of the track Sat. early afternoon, I picked up a burger from a vender with a pull behind trailer, about five minutes later as i walked away, the trailer's vent or chimney was on fire. Lots of smoke, and alot of people worried about a fire, which i dont blame them.

If there is a complaint this would be it, I sat in those seats that are after the finish line after swapping for 7 hours. Disapointing. But I don't complain about the heat because the beer made that go away. The dust..., just give a good farmers blow and that went away. How can anyone complain, IT'S THE OFFICIAL START OF WINTER!!! WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Found some good deals on parts too.
