I tried posting this in the news section, but it said I didn't have permission to do so. Anyway, this was taken from today's Idaho Statesman from which they got from the AP.

I wasn't going to, but I just did after reading your post

One thing to think about though, is that this isn't a "local rag" paper writing this. The Stateman is printing something from the Associated Press, that could be from anybody. The best thing is, is that there are direct quotes in the article from Parks people (or person) to a prominent figure with AC. What's really interesting is what used to be just a few sleds from manufacturers, is now FIVE sleds from one manufacturer. It will be interesting to see what the other manufacturers come out with. AC won't be alone that's for sure, they were just the first to get certified ;)

Wasn't there 4 stroker an engine from a micro car? I mean it probably was at or near the requirements before. Yami's 4 is a performance bike motor so it probably wasn't as close. But it was good to see that someone was certified.

Snow-Drift,

You'll have to let us know what she said when she got back to you...if she did. We'll see if she puts as much energy in getting this information out to the rest of the world as she did with her first editorial. She said that she had gotten alot of hate mail from sledders, which is sometimes counter productive and completely closes her mind if it was fairly open.
