Does anyone know what the horsepower ratings were for 70-75 arctic cats with the kawasaki engines. *Engine 1 is a TIA440SIB 72 cheetah engine, Engine 2 is a 73 tiger engine TIB340RSIA.
Also how about the horsepower for a 72 ski-doo tnt 775? *Thanks in advance.

Wow that's pretty decent hp for the old ski-doo, my uncle said that top end was about 92 mph. *My dad had a 71 puma 440 Mod he says went 78 mph. *Anyone have a idea what hp would be for a 71 440 Kaw single carb modified by Shorty Long?
It's kinda neat to find out what kinda hp these old sleds had, compared to nowdays.
cheether: The 775 T'nt had 65 hp @ 7000 rpm. They used two HD carbs and a can type muffler. Don't know about the Cat engines. Dino

Dino your right on the money, 2 HD's and a can muffler. *Boy was that thing a PITA to start, 2 hands and mean business pulling on that recoil.

my dad has a mint 73 el'tigre 440F/A. I remember seeing something about 48 or 49 H.P. somewhere. I can't figure out where though. All I know is my old 75' SnoJet SST 440F/A would just plain bury that cat.
