I was just looking for a 6" LED brake light strip to put on the back of my tunnel extension, and found this:

What do you think? I think they need more LED's, but it's a good start for helmets.
very nice safty feature. i think mabye it needs to have larger lights in it, but it is a start.

i like that thing, i think it could be brighter. as time goes on they will find a way to make a brighter one.
The watch batterie style power wont last long on a sled helmet at -20celcius.....

Last year we rode with a guide that had a small flashing red light he velcroed to the back of his helmet when it got dark. I thought that was a pretty good idea for safety. $100 for this light and sending unit seems a bit steep. I wanna say I saw one somewhere else that worked on some kind of inertia switch and it was a lot cheaper.

they stole my idea! I made one of those for my senior project at Lawrence Tech University in 1998! Mine was better!
