with all other springs ramps ect. being the same if i take out the 54/47 and replace it with a 47 what will change with the sled ie.
hole shot
longer legs
less legs

The correct answer is...... the motor will be loaded less for the first 60 to 100 feet, so......the end result is dependent on what your dooing or not doing now. If your motor struggles to gain rpn in the holeshot stage, try it. If the motor with the 54 first angle is rev happy in the holeshot, look to try a 56 or 58 first angle. What your sled does half track down will not change appreciably with what you proposed. Good luck.

The correct, correct answer is the engine will be loaded harder first, the 54 will have a faster up-shift-loading the motor harder.

I think maybe you should tell us what it does now and then what you want it to do. There are alot of factors involved here.
If I read this correctly Ballsout is correct. Taking out a 54/47and replacing it with a straight 47 will load the motor LESS for the majority of the shift.

Yep ballsout is right, dont know what you other guys are thinking, less initial angle = less initial engine load.. thats pretty simple.

if you take out the 54 ,she will shift out slower and your rpm will probably be to high out of the hole to stay in the torque range (WHY )?
