Ever wanted a brighter tail-stop light without using a brighter bulb [if you can even find one]?
Take an old thin mirror and cut it up in 1/2" squares. Then just glue them on the whole surface the light reflects on, takes about 30-40 squares. When your done it will kind of look like your headlight background on the newer machines.
Your lights will be at least twice as bright with no extra power used up!

That should help when you get the snow dust on the tail-light. I'm going to have to try it.

Thanks for the idea I was trying to come up with a way to make it brighter can never see it in the snow dust and the LED lights seemed kinda expensive.

What kind of glue can you use to prevent the woopps from jarring them loose? Great idea too!

I just used the 2 part epoxy from the hardware, working so far.
For this year on my Skidoo I bought two 1 1/8 x 2 1/2 red L.E.D. lights and mounted them where the reflecters were inside the lens, looks pretty cool and adds somemore safety with little if any drain on the system.

Sounds like a disco ball you're making.
I heard it's hard to sled with platform shoes on.

The problem with LED tail-lights (besides the cost) is that they don't generate heat like conventional bulbs. That means they won't melt snow & slush off of sleds and especially trailer rear ends.

About the seven years bad luck, just talk your buddy into the great idea and let him break the mirror. :D

How about lining it with tin foil?

Good idea Mikadoo. A low cost improvement for the sled that will improve the safety factor. I am gonna give it a try using Cool Chem glue. It will be a bonus, as anyone who has ridden behind me will attest to.
