I talked to John @ Race Logic today inquiring about making templates for Ski-Doo 780-800 triples bored out to 925 cc's...Is anyone intrested in this conversion? Thanks Al. :0:

Allen,what pistons do you use with the 925(are there skidoo pistons that are the right bore?)is that a nic or is it a sleeve??I have been thinking about an 890,as most around here run 975 which tend to run too hot for my liking.I would be interested if you could give me some more info.

Good to hear from you John: I have done some research today regarding the 925...I called Greg from Jaws, talked with John from Race Logic, they both commented about a probable water leakage issue ie(water jackets)...not a good thing for a durable trail sled. The pistons that you would use to build a 925 are 1991-1992 Ski-doo 643 twin, 76 mm pistons, i'am not well versed on the Mach Z 800 nikasil cylinders if they can be bored that far...But, Advanced Sleeve, phone number 440-205-1055 has cast iron sleeves that can be safely overbored to a 889cc motor which they use a Weisco piston at 74.5 mm. John is willing to make the templates for the 889 and re-do the combustion chamber, Greg from Jaws commented that his trail pipes will work but may have to modify the stinger for the over bore...another fact is that you can run the stock exhaust system on this and modify the stinger...More to come later....Al. :)

I am also thinking of doing a 890 this spring for asphalt and lake drags let me know if something is done for this ?
