:) hi, put 23/44 gearing because 9600rpm(Rpm vs mph)give you 129.9 (write whit overdrive)mph......Ex: 26/44=146 mph 9600 rpm is very fast for you horsepower you use....and 25/44= 141.1 mph is fast............. 24/44=135 mph is good for radar whit your horse power and 23/44= 129.9mph is very good for your hp and 660 feets..machz stock run whit (1997)26/44 8250 rpm=125.4 mph whit 150 hp and you 200 hp whit 23/44 9600 129.9 is excellent......I look my book racing bombardier was write(Gear for 10% over the actual speed you will run in the race.On grass, you upper sprocket should be about two teeth smaller on the ice)150 hp will run over whit 26/44..the best run is 24/44 for use the machz stock whit 150 hp.....the best engagement is 5000 rpm.....my color put my clucht is 280 420....pine 20 g and my helix 50 whit 22 lbs...excuse my bad english because write is french and talk in french(living for quebec).....Is the good forum!!! :D

i may be of some help. i also had an imp 800 f-chasis. it made around 208 hp@ 9700 rpm. i won the world series in 2002 at kalkaska,mi. here was my set up... 310/460 spring, 19 grams of pin weight, in stock arms, 48/44 formax cam, with a biege spring set at c-5 aprox 20#. 20/43 gears. the sled was real hard to hang on to. 60 foot times were around 1.28 range. and 660 times were around 6.0's. i hope this helps you.

oopps... i forgot to mention, cut a notch so that the stall will be at 6000rpm, also cut .030 off the heel of the ramps.
