I am running a Polaris 700 XCSP with VES.....
Installing my heelclickers... I am an agressive trail rider
What clutch engagement is good and should I run the yellow or gold spring...
I want to try the gold but do you think a 3900-4100 engagement rpm is too much for a twin?
I am ok on the weights

i would try the gold. where did you get that engagement rpm, just curious?? 4100 is not that high for engagement. what the weights do at 4100 rpm is a different story, i mean how aggressive the weight placement on the actual arm is and how they will react when the clutch engages at a higher rpm.

I got that rpm engagement from the installation chart in the heelclicker box...
that's why I'm here. :D
We will go with the gold.....
I am also running a Cat secondary any suggestions on helix/spring combos's

Why Heel Clickers ? I dunno heard very good things about them price was good and they were easy to install...

6 grams in the center hole 6grams on the tip.... went with the gold spring the clutch is together just have to torque it on....

Ok here is what i put in my brothers 700 2002 X edge. He is running 1 inch lug polaris track 192 gold diggers 1.175 studs. I put in EPI yellow spring motor clutch with 64 grams weights 54/40 or 54/38 Dalton helix Black EPI spring on secondary hole #2. Then put your blocks in top hole. They are located way to the back of your sled. They are held on with a allen bolt. You can try it with them out but you better be laying on the handle bars or your sled will stand straight up in the air. Without looking it up you have to shoot for 7800 rpms on your tac when WFO. This is not a BS setup this is weeks of testing in field with porta tree timming system. I have 2800.00 in this timming system. If you run this setup it will take a well dialed in 800 to beat you. 54/40 if you can pull your rpms faster ET 54/38 good ET faster mph. I don't know what you weigh so you may have to run lighter weights. (Later)

thanks Straightliner lot's of good info....
I have a M10 skid is your bro's and EDGE?
I'm gonna run the Heel Clickers and a cat roller on the secondary
I'm going to start with a 55/53 helix and a red/white spring in the #2 hole
I have heard this is an awesome set up for a 700.......
I am also told that the 700 is a torque monster from 6800-7200 rpm (max power band?)
any thoughts on this will be well received
