Other than drilling out the rivets where the bar goes into the chassis, what else does a guy need to do? Looks like the trailing arm might have to come off. How difficult is this job and when off ,will the stock MXZ springs need to be adjusted. Thanks.

you can remove the end bolt (by your foot well) and pull your trailing arm away from the chassis enough to remove the bar from the slider.after that it sounds like you"ve got it figured out. it will slide out after you've drilled the rivets out. you may want to tighten your coils a bit. it's not going to ride like it used to. I've put alot of miles on without the sway bar and gotten used to it, I love it. Your friends won't want to ride it! my $.02

I don't know why a trail rider would remove it, but mountain riders remove them because it makes the sled easier to sidehill and lean over and carve in the powder, and it removes a couple of pounds of weight from the sled.
