i cant say that i have experience in the c-7 but have on most others. its almost always the same this is what you need to try and do. what you want is to have a ride hight of 1 inch. or as close as you can get. what it should look like when your done is the rear end of the skid should be in or around 1-2inchs off the ground when sitting there this way when you do hit the fuel that is all it will give. should lean the sled back and bring the skis up that 1-2 inchs off the ground.

well the easy way i do is to get one of them sled lifts you with the boat crank. well i use that. i tie it to the rear bumper and pull it together...lol... i know that might not have come out right but.. another way is to just unbolt the rear springs then use some chain to tie the rear scissor down then rebolt the springs. as for the front if you can find a place to hook a rachet strap to the front bumper to pull down then again chain it. the chain will bolt in to the shock bolts.... ill try to find a site that explains this very well with pics,. i just can in from noght shift so im a little off.....lol

Hey Big Mac,this is what i use to use on a stock 96 for grass drags(amature)Turn up the tension on the front shock on the rear skid(second firmist) let out the limiter starp until there is about 1/4 inch thread showing past plastic nut on adjuster(may have to experiment with that depending on your weight and track conditions)Let the rear springs off to second from the lightest on the left and one turn more tension on the right(this will keep the sled going straight when the skiis are in the air)The front springs could be loosened(but the skiis usually hovered about 1-2 inches all the way down track so this isnt a big issue.Like i mentioned earlier clutch the machine right out of the race manual(with the exception of the primary spring)which you could go up about 30lbs on the initial spec to raise engagement. If you do nothing else slip in a 54-48 helix at 20 lbs and hang on.Ps after rereading my post you want the left rear stiffer and the right rear spring less firm as that machine always seems to pull to the left(stagering the springs this way kind of steers it like skateboard )

Well I fired her up tonight ... took 7 pulls and had to take the plugs out 7X's they were Full of oil . Anyways ... the studds where not in to good of shape ...so me and my boy (13 yrs old) took out all 196 of them, well Scotty got an allen key stuck in his hand (all the way in nearly came out the other side) and had to go and get a tetnus shot, it took 4 hours to get all the studs out, so now I can race in the stock class on Oct 5 at the leamington fair grounds.Oh ya .... Scotty is OKAY , I feel bad though it was the first time he ever wanted to help me out , maybe the last now !!!

That allen through the hand is some serious sit, I meant to post on the dangers of that a year ago. Always, always use a allen socket and ratchet or a allen with a built in handle.
