What primary springs are you ZRT guys running....assuming stock clutches, what spring are you running to get the engagement ~5000 rpm? I need poundage specs...colours won't do me any good. It is for a 97 ZRT 600.

Yellow/green is stock-134/264, the only stiffer cat spriong is orange at 120/270. *I would think you need to get up close to 300 to get it at or over 5000 rpm.

I was wrong about those springs, they are Comets. *The stock Cat spring is yellow/green at 114/267 next is the *yellow/white at 122/285 and an orange/white at 143/290.

My 95 zrt800 has yellow and red springs. As far as I know they are stock. I couldn't tell you what the poundages are.

ok...thanks. I guess I will tell him to get a yellow green then..because that spring had his engagement at about 5000rpm. Thanks alot. I just wanted the weights as a reference point.

Rocketman, in your previous post you said he thinks that his weights may have been shaved and notched. *If that is true, he will still need a stiffer primary to keep his engagement up.
As I said before, the HPE orange spring(similiar to the cat orange and white spring)would be better IF he does in fact have notched weights. *Just something you may want to have him check.... http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif * *If nothing else, use the yellow and green and put stick weights back in.

Yeah..he thinks they are shaved and notched....but I believe they are stock. Anyway, he has a yellow/green in there right now, so that is prbably what he will put in. Thanks guys http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

You can buy notched weights from cat, i think the stock weights in that are susposed to be notched though.
