I am looking for ways to heat my enclosed trailer. For short one night trips we are thinking about saving ont he hotel costs and just sleeping in the trailer. Whats the best way to heat it??? Propane??? My friend has a kerosene heater to heat his garage but does put out a little bit of an odor. Is this safe or are kerosene heaters dangerous because of the fumes????? What about propane???

Thanks!

Best solution I've seen is to install a regular forced air RV heater. A little pricey maybe, but you don't have to worry about freezing, or waking up in the morning...

what you really need is a small propane fired unit called a =sunflower=.they're cheap and run on 2$ tanks(16.9 oz).it's a catalytic heater and they work well.

Catalytic heaters will fill your trailer with moisture vapor. Get a RV style that vents outside. And also GET A CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR! Spend a little more now and be dry and safe.

Anything that DOES NOT have a "Chimney" that is vented outside, will Poison you. Carbon Monoxide poisoning!
Burning fuel in a small trailer, is not a good idea unless the fumes are vented PROPPERLY!

I guess I would rather rent a room instead of worrying about not waking up!

Deadman is a smart man. But a RV heater/A/C unit is the only way to go do to venting. You need vents!

The guys are all right! DO NOT USE IT IF IT'S NOT VENTED!!!!!!!!!!! You could use the propane for heating the trailor to do repairs, or to melt the snow and ice, but don't sleep in there! PLEASE!! Honk

A generator and electric heat will work. Electric heater use huge amounts of energy{watts} to run though. It takes a large expensive generator to do the job.And RV furnaces aren't cheap either. And you still don't have a shower or a crapper or a bed. Rooms are cheap.Get a room!!!!

LOL, I usually stay in a $60/night room with 2 buddies. Thats only 20 per person per night. Thats plenty affordable. Beds,showers,crappers...and TV. There were a few nights last year that got down to -15*F...I'm glad I was inside.
