I was thinking about a rev 800. There seem to be a few good deals on the 03s but the 10 tooth drivers on the 04s and the beaver tail thing. I Think its not worth the 2000 bucks or so for me. How mutch power is there between the 800 and the 800ho. What about studding a rev I would like to have a 1.25 track and 96 studs. Can you do that on a 03
Thanks

HO engines are supposed to be turning about 7 more HP. The 10 tooth drivers (also found on the Blair Morgan 03) have a rolled chaincase to reduce the angle of attack for the track improving acceleration and top end. Some (unconfirmed by me) reports have the BM with the 10 tooth drivers being up to 10 MPH faster on the top end. Add 7 more HP over the BM and we may have a winner. There are a whole bunch of other improvements as well. Add that to I don't like the beaver tail the 04 takes the cake.
Having said that, for 2 grand you can get Bondi to make the 03 go mega fast. He built one last year and also had a Mach Z that he owned. According to him the Rev made 162 hp on his dyno (at least 27 more than stock) and would take the 190HP Mach up to 2000 feet. With enough room the Mach would win. Now just race for 1/2 mile or less and you are golden.

I can attest that my '03 Blair Morgan is indeed quicker and faster on the top end than the standard '03 800's. In stock form, while I think 10 MPH is way, way too optimistic, I think that 3 or maybe 4 MPH is more like it on the top end. My stock Blair radared at 113.7 MPH with my Stalker ATS gun on hardpack at about 20 degrees F with no studs and a 1" track. I even went even-up with two of my friends' ZR-900's last winter in the approximate quarter mile. The HO should be noticably quicker than the standard 800 motor that's in the '03 Blair. I was originally going to get an '04 800X HO, but decided to hold out for hopefully an '04-1/2 or '05 800X HO SDI. The Blair's fine for right now.
