hello i have a 2000 formula z 700 it is completely stock, i am getting a new track and 144 picks this year and maybe some reeds. it has 5000 miles on it and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to replace the springs in the primary or secondary or both? would they be starting to lose there strength at this many miles and this old? and is there anything i could do to give it a little better performance or are they pretty good stock? i do mostly trail riding on groomed trails.

thanks,
twolf

For sure allways a good plan to put in newer springs, you gotta tear the sheaves down and give them a good clean anyways. Reed it if ya want, you might have to rejet but then in my opinion the Z's were a good pullin' sleds right out of the box! Good luck with your sled and take good care of it and you should see many more miles. Btw 5000 mi. is not that much barely broken in man

Replace the springs, inpsect the rollers and bushings and ride it. The 2000 fz is a strong sled.. faster than a 2000 mxz.
