My buddy was looking at a 95 XCR 600 and i was looking to get some opinions on this sled. It looks to be extremly clean, 3300 miles, studs, cutom paint, plastic skis, and a new seat cover. they are asking $1500 is this a good deal?

If its clean and sounds good and things don't look beat up on it. This could be a good deal at $1500. Just make sure you or your friend check it out completely. Good Luck!

That is the exact sled that I own, and I can tell you that it is a very fun sled to ride on groomed trails. Nothing, other than maybe a similar vintage ZR 580 or 700 handles as good as it does on smooth trails, and when things get twisty you can leave much more modern and powerful sleds behind.
Check it out, BUT as with any second hand sled, it's the things you can't predict that will determine if it's a good deal or not. If you get a season or two or three out of the motor, then it's a score. If it goes in December, then the deal is not so good. You'll never know which way things will go.
