ramtuff 10-08-2003, 06:29 AM What is the best way to get more ski pressure to the ground? Right now I can have the snowmobile sitting on concrete with 9 in. carbide on the skis and just about blow on the handle bars and they will move. That you can adjust your front strap and determines the amount of pressure on the skis when your off the gas. ramtuff 10-08-2003, 08:40 PM Thanks Bone Daddy! :) The sled just doesn't seem to turn no matter what. When I go across the lake and turn it just wants to plow or if I am on the trail letting off the gas early so it will turn. Any more help would be appreciated. Then if it seems to ride stiffer back off the center shock equal to what you shortened the straps. I did mine 1/4 of an inch at a time until I got what i was looking for. Also remember putting more ski pressure on the ski's you will loose some of your floatation ability. Sorry, can't have the best of both worlds but with some tinkering you can get acceptable results. I also have a 1998 vmax xt 600 and that thing will turn on a dime but the shocks are a little easer to adjust. hopefully this will solve my problem. Set the suspension up at stock settings and begin adjusting using the transfer rods.
