I bought my insurance from Primmum for $100/year which included $1M liability, fire and theft. Goto primmum.com to get phone number and ask for a quote. They beat my auto insurance company's policy by $150. It pays to call around.

Try Liberty Mutual . I switched last year, decent rates I thought compared to the company MASS ins. brokers wanted to switch me to.Not sure if home or car are required but I switched them as well better rates.Less &less companies wanting to write sleds.

Liberty Mutual $420 for RX1, $250 for 02 ZR500 both full coverage with $250 deductible. Been with them for 3 years and all they have are my sleds, switched from State Farm where I had been for 30 years as they were twicw the Liberty cost.

Trailsmart (Insurance Broker) is in negotiations with another company right now to replace Lombard.

This new company will only "Blacklist" true racing sleds. (440 race only sleds, etc.)
They will write policies for 700, 800, 900 CC sleds. Their rates will be "competitive."

The only hangup sofar is that they too don't want to insure kids with less than 6 years experience. This is a huge problem with the OFSC.

They also only write sled and motorcycle insurance. Therefore they're a stand alone insurer. Trailsmart is looking for a company that'll write auto and home insurance to compliment the sled insurance.

I'll post something as soon as info is available.

Anyone else with some good prices? I always like to call around for prices when my policy is due.

Trailsmart quoted me $600.00 for liability only on a 94 MX 470 and a 97 Mach One 700. Called my house and vehicle insurance carrier for a second quote and they told me something very interesting. They, the insurance company not the agent, did not give a rat's butt about the fact I was a Master Instructor with OFSC Driver Training or the fact I have had no accountable accidents or claims in 37 years of snowmobiling [no break there] or the fact one of their other customers had two DUI tickets in the last two years [no premium for being stupid]. All they wanted to know was the suggested list price of the sled when new. I couldn't give them the VIN of either sled during the call as I called from work and the Pink Slips were at home, didn't matter. "What was the suggested list new?" I am going to check ING facility next. Will keep you informed.
