This is a poll to go with my other post on heads. Please let me know why you would buy an aftermarket head. I'm looking into building them and I want to know what the most common reason people buy heads. I would build a head per application and not a generic head for every sled. Say you had a Rev 800 with twin pipes, V-Force reeds and wanted to run 100 octane fuel to radar run it. I would build the head to maximize every feature you have.

I am looking for the best overall performance. :)

I would be looking for detonation free flame propagation with high C/R and better than OEM cooling efficiency.

Here is an example of the head I build. I can doo twins, triples, even a single if you want. :D

The main reason I went to an aftermarket head is to regain compression lost due to elevation. A better combustion chamber design and improved cooling were just added benefits.
