I would ask this on the Ski Doo forum but I might get a biased answer. Due to the relativly high center of balance on the SKIDOO REV platforms do they tend to be tippy on the high speed sweepers and flat corners?

I wondered that too, but from what I have heard, you have to learn to ride it different! More of a lean forward and out in turns... which is what I do already!! I'm hoping to get one for a weekend test as a buddy has arranged an F6 for a weekend as well.

You have to ride one and decied for yourself!!! I don't feel that they are tippy, although you have to remember that you sit higher on the sled and you will notice body roll more. That does not make them tippy, but may give some people an uneasy "tippy" feeling.
Beg, borrow or steal, you have to ride to decide.

Only the rider sits a little higher, the bulk of the sled's weight is very low in the chassis. 03's had some quirky handling traits that 04 models have addressed. I didn't think mine was any "tippier" than any other style currently out there.

i rode one last year for a while. it did feal like they were tippy, i mean they gave u that fealing because the way the body would role in the corners. but t was just a fealing that u have to get used too. i am sure that ski doo has delt with that problem this year. once u u got used to its feal it was great. U have to really ride a firecat or rev chassis becaus ethat is what they are made for. if u want to just sit there and go, with very little body movement then a rev or firecat is not your sled.

They also changed the front springs on the 04's!! Little stiffer front end!

I sat on one and they are comfortable but it is hard to imagine throwing your weight around on it in some twists. I dont know but I like sitting with my knees up a little. I noticed when i bought my Pantera that you sit higher then the single machines and it definetly took some getting used to

The 03 Rev's had a very soft front end which caused a lot of body roll at entrance in corners. It wasn't that the sled was going to tip it was the feeling like it was because of the body roll. I think a lot of this had to do with the dual rate front springs the 03's had. For 04 Doo went with a single rate front spring. What you have to remember is that both the Rev and the F-Cat have there roots in snocross racing. They are great in the rough and because of this you will give up a little on the trails. I have riden both last winter although my F-Cat time was limited to about a 1/2 at a time since myself and riding buddies were switchin sleds around. The tippy feeling was also felt in the F-Cat but once you had gotten used to how the sled handles it was no problem. If someone was wanting to try a Rev out for the first time I would say try an 04 Rev since i think this would leave a better impression on the individual. Just remember that you need time to get used to the new riding style. I admit it is not for everyone. If you can adjust to the different style though it should put a smile on your face. Just go into it with an open mind and be willing to adjust.

lol, you'll get a biased answer in this forum as well. Best bet is to talk to folks who have them. You'll be sure to get some honest impressions mixed in with those who are blindly brand loyal, but everyone I know that has ridden one loved it.

Last year I rode my buddies Rev X 600. I rode it for like 15 minutes.....It was different at first, but was very user friendly and really made life a lot easier in terms of leaning and moving your body around.
When I got back on my XC, it seemed even More Different that the Rev did at first.

To make a long story short.........I was a Polaris man for 11 years, and this year I broke down and bought a Rev X 600 SDI! I've never been this excited coming into a snowmobiling season! :p

tippy? NO, Ridding style is what you have to master, Not in just a few hours, I think the F series are tippy, until you learn how to rid the sled, PLUS set-up is a major factor into how the sled reacts to a ridders input Any of the sleds today are state of the art, Some may be a lot easier to ride than others, What fun is that, Pick one and learn to ride it.
