Before I break Allen head bolts off, can these be hammered on with an impact or can I just put more torque on allen wrench? I usually end up breaking things off but this would be disastrous. What about applying heat with propane torch? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just got done doing mine the other day and they were very tight! I used a nice long allen wrench and had a pair of work gloves on. I don't think I would use any heat around that area. Good luck

Some heat wouldn't hurt. Its not like that part of the engine hasn't got hot before. I small pen torch for pin point heat would be great.

I have the similar problem, but one of the heads on mine stripped out in the head, so i just put it back together in the spring and hopefully before winter rolls around i will be able to fix it. I have replacement screws but i just need to get it out with a snap-on ex-6 extractor and hopefully this will work so i can clean the valves up.
