Im new to the forum. I just picked up a new 2002 xc 700 and was just wondering if anyone had any tuning tips.

Im riding basically at sea level and around the 0-10 F temp range.

Its jetted from the factory with 500 mains and Im wondering if this is a little rich. Can I safely run in 0 F(-20 C) with 480's?

I would appreciate any advice regarding this sled. I just sold my(tired) 94 xlt after putting a total of 16 500 trouble free miles and am hoping for the same luck.

10-64 gram weights with almond/ blue primary spring. Good all around set up.
You can go down one size(maybe even two) on mains and pretty much ride all winter.
