Hi, I have recently completed my little project I had started. I Started out by just cleaning the carbs, and than I decided to put Boyesen reed pedals with spacers in it along with milling the head 10 thousands. I fired it up and was very happy, got the antifreeze back thru her and than riped it around a grassy field. I looked at the plugs and it looks like it might be running a little lean around the whole band. I cant really open it up because I don't have enof room but I did get a chance to open it up for just a bit and than killed it and checked the plugs, they appear to be a little white. The low/mid looks the be the same to me, I hear they are suppose to look like cardboard but Im not really sure what im looking for. I was wondering if any of you have done these mods and have had to jet up a bit? How much should I jet up if I need too and what do I need to adjust on the carbs? Do I need to change the oil pump settings? I know the main jet is 520N and im not sure about the low end. Thank you for your posts.

are they new plugs? if so they take a while to colour, you can read the sutelties such as the burn on the ground electroude; see where the line forms it should be about halfway up the electrode. With the mods your talkin I would not assume you have to richen but better safe than sorry.

The plugs are from last year, they were darker before I put the mods into it. Can I check the low/mid on the stand? what other adjustments are on these carbs besides the main jet and the low end jet (pilot?)

You have your needle adjustments, for midrange, did you already compensate for the warm temps testing now? and if so how did you doo it? Testing midrange jetting on the stand is almost impossible, actually most things you see on the stand arent accurate, at best ya have to use the brake alot and its real touchy, I wonder if something is amiss?? Did you change oils?

When I tested my sled It was probably around 25F. The sled sounds very healthy and is very responsive, I just dont know if its too lean and if it might be too lean, where should I bring my adjustments? Is there more than those two needles to adjust? I am currently running skidoo's synthetic, but I have two gallons of amsoil series 2000 race oil........any opinions on this stuff? The sled also has DPM if that matters
