Do you have any pics? It's pretty hard to say if we don't know where it is bent and how bad. I just straightened an MXZ ZX chassis by putting it on a frame rack and pulling it all out.

I don't have any pictures but the front end is bent (she hit a tree) the biggest problem I guess is that it seems to have a big krinkle inbetweeen the primary and secondary clutch, also the part in front of the motor is pushed up. Thats why the krinkle is between the clutches. I was hoping to tye it down and pull the front end back out while pursuading it impact?

I'm not real sure how the Cats are put together, so I can't say for sure. Some pics would really help. Can you buy a bulkhead separate from the tunnel? It sounds like you might have a little more bend than you can easily fix. Are the clutches actually closer together now as a result of the crash?

Take it to a repair shop and have the snowmobile install on a frame rack system and give it a pull. You will be surprised how it will come out. Then you are going to see if you need to replace the frame or just repair it. We had a few frame repaired to specs. without any problems. Good luck

That's pretty much what I said in my first post. I have put a couple on the frame rack with great success. I have also wasted 150 bucks trying to straighten one that couldn't be straightened safely. What I am saying is that you need to have a pretty good idea that it can be done unless you have 150 bucks to throw away.

In my estimation, if the clutches have been pushed closer together, then you may need to think hard about wasting the money. But then again, I have never tried to straighten out a cat (if that's possible!!! Sorry, I couln't help myself :p )

You may be looking at replacing the bulkhead. Redf7sp replaced one on his ZR a while back and should be able to offer some advice. I've never done one but it sounds like alot of work.

Good luck!

Sounds similar to what happened to a friend of mine last season (although his was from hitting a wash out, not a tree). Have a peak at these links:
