I have a 99 mxz with the sc-10 suspension. I ride real fast and hard and with my suspension when i hit rough mouguls filled trail somtimes i bottom the crap out of my suspension and it slams hard. I have adjusted this almost all the way stiff to its maxium and it still does it ocassionly, it also rides bad over the slow spped but it handles great. I dont reall jump my sled that high cause it bottoms out over 4 feet. Would it be worth it to get a sc-10 II or a sc-10 II heavy duty racing one that cost a 175$ more than the sc-10 II regular? Would the sc-10 II racing one be better to have and a how different would the ride be? I weigh about 150 lbs. Is it worth the extra 175 or should i save my money? Also, what would be the ride differences in from my sc-10 to the sc-10 II and sc-10 II racing? In which case would my sled handle beter? Also, with my suspension now i have never encountered swapping. Also after ridin hard my shocks become very faded and the harder i ride the more they bottom out, thats why i considered the racing suspension with the c-46 shocks , would the same happen with the sc-10 II regular one? Thanks for all your opions and i greatly apreciate them! What would you recommend??

Call FAST, get an M-10. With the good shocks. Learn how to adjust it to your riding style. Remember there are always trade offs(Fast and smooth OR slower and Plush) you must choose or get the M-10 with the ACE it readjusts with a flick of the thumb.

The rear suspension needs to be revalved for your weight and style. The M-10 is new techology, with old school valving that doesn't work with todays riding style. If it's so great, why don't you see pros using it? Revalve and be happy. Thanks

Get a M-10 and forget all else. there are 4 choices of shocks from fast. One to fit your riding style would probally be the fox pro comp. The M-10 is still the best rear skid out there. The manus cant even come close. :withstupid:

If you go with a ski doo skid why not the SC10III it has 13.5" of travel. :hallo1:

GD, sc10III is not a direct bolt in compared to the sc102 and sc10.

The M-10 is still the way to go. It will in the end cost the same, if not less. You should consider the cost to get new shocks (HPG Ski-doos, FOX, etc..), front and rear arm, all new Idler wheel bearings, hyfax, Replace sagging springs, etc... and now you have a real good stock suspension. But unfortuately it still is not tunable to your riding as the M-10. Call FAST, Talk to Brian, Get a Deal??? I did.

The m-10 sounds good but from people I have talked to that have them say they have too many adjustments and were hard to get it dialed in for the way they wanted.

It may take longer to dial in better, but read the book, it has several examples/suggestions to start with, if your not sure at that point call FAST back and they are very knowledgable. The stock stuff, you have fewer choices, I hope you fall within the choices they offer (soft, med, firm) and (limited coupling adjustments if any) I and my brothers don't. Also the guy that says it takes too much adjustment, may fit the "average rider" or a derivative of one, therefore the stock stuff works great for him. But any suspension, stock or otherwise, is going to take some adjusting to fit YOUR style and the more you tweak it the better you'll know it and the easier it will be to tune.

**And as an aside, the M-10 can be purchased with the ACE add-on, it allows you to tweak while you ride, click up a few notches and suspension tightens for deep trail crap, a few notches down and plusher trail cruising. Polaris uses it on some of their models with the M-10.

Buy the M10 is you want to be 5-10 mph slower. They are great but the manufacturers are so close-at least Skidoo is-that I would not bother with the M10. I have had one in the past and it sucks the power-makes the sled much slower. Plus the fact that FAST may not be around too much longer-did you read the magazine article-they are being pursued by creditors. If you like to ride real hard in the moguls-BUY A REV-there is no comparison.

absolutely, an nice new (just released) 2005 REV renegade with the sc10-III, 600 SDI, in Viper Red!. And for only $8500.00 + tax. I was just trying to suggest the least cost, best for the buck, in promoting the M-10. Loosing 5-10 miles an hour is no big deal. Unless you are a lake racer, not a ditchbanger. If you are a lake racer we need to start a whole new tread. Also Polaris uses the M-10 in some of their models and will have to supply parts, one way or another, for I believe 7 years from the last model year to sport that suspension.

Look at a used 600 HO-I have seen them go for $4300 at auctions-not ebay either. White Star Snowmoblie auctions is one place to look. Sell what you have and put what you were going to spend on the suspension. You will come out way better than putting parts in an old sled. Sell your sled for $2800-just guessing-and add the $1000+ you will spend on an M10-add another $1000+ and you have a used REV.

Can't argue with that, it's sound reasoning.

But sometimes the old ones are hard to let go of.... It's kinda like a well worn glove that fits just right, but needs a little freshening up to make it good as new.....

I have a 1997 mach 1 700 with sc-10 suspension. I was looking to put a SC-10 III suspension in it that came off a REV. Would I be able to without buying a mounting kit or drilling holes? And would it be worth the extra money or does it ride the same as SC-10? Any info that you have would be great.
