i'm on the verge of buying a big bore trail top end 1100 to 1200cc. I would like to here from some of the people out there who own big bore kits. who's got the best bang for the buck. I'm leaning towards the hooper 1100. To justify the cost it truly needs to be trail friendly with a decent amount of longevity. i do not want to have to put new pistons and rings in it every year. i already have cpr pipes, v-force, mod air box ,and timing key. All i need now is the best big cylinders. I do not want to weld the crank if i do not have too. I do not want to case port if i do not have too. I have also been told to stay away from stroked cranks, too much trouble and too much money . One thing i'm sick of seeing which makes me think hooper is the way to go is the bogus hp numbers i see at all other brands websites. the show you the kit and give you a hp number, but what they don't tell you in the add is you need 44mm carbs ,case porting , crank bal. & welded to get those numbers. so lets here it from the people that know , the people own one. thanks

I have posted several other times about Hooper and will say it again. We had a 64o Hooper Trail Kit in a Sno Pro. Wow was this thing ungodly fast :D But with the good came the bad. 700 or 800 Miles into the season(no speedo, just an estimate from what the rest of the people rode) BOOM, scattered the motor. No big deal right, fix it next week and back on the Trail. To repleace the one Cylinder that was toast, Piston, Rings for both Cylinders, $1200 - $1400 US. The worst part is they could not tell me that if I rebuilt the kit wether or not it would stay together. That put a bad taste in my mouth for Hooper's Longevity. Damn fast but didn't last long on the Twin.

Its so nice to have Hooper racing Inc. 17 miles from my home :) Too bad they don't mod doo's :p
We had a ZL500 riding around here with a 700cc hooper kit installed. OMFG was this thing fast. 98mph on the radar run(second place). Only one sled out of 60 or so was quicker, and it was a modded ZRT8. Hooper 700cc kits are rumoured to make close to 150hp.

One of my buds has got a Zrt800 punched to 1120. Not sure what kit he has, but the guy has money and knows the good companies from the bad. Anyway its a freaking rocket ship but he spends too much time under the hood instead of riding. When running right NO ONE can touch him, but it doesnt stay ing tune, hes always trying to get the right jetting and timing plus hes blown it up once already. Also heard nothing but reliablitlity problems form every guy I ever saw running a bored out block, twin or triple. Put the money into other mods, unless you dont mind buying custom pistons and rings and everything else, if and when you blow it up.
