Hello everybody, I just pulled all the shocks on my '01 ZR600 over the weekend and am trying to decide where to go to get them recharged. I live in Canton MI, (in between Detroit and Ann Arbor) does anybody know of any reputable places that would like my business around me? By the way I recently purchased my sled at an auction and have no experience with any dealers.
Thanks, Greg

I take mine to a Bradys in Flint which is about 1 hour north from you. I think they do excellent work and I have never had to take it back because they did something wrong.
One place in Detroit is LeBarons but they will rape you on the price (double Bradys). Friend of mine paid $240 for four shocks (one replacement shaft) and he didn't have clickers or dial adjust. Normally that would be about 30 bucks a shock at Brady's.
Couple others are Carvers and Shock Therapy you can find them on the net. You can ship you to them and have the work done.

It might be worth the drive to Flint or call them and see about shipping them to Brady's?

Well I ended up going to a Motorsports place right down the street from me in Canton. It's called Metro Power sports. They charged me $70 plus tax to do all four of my shocks (recharge), that's one hours worth of labor. That seemed like a really good deal to me, I just hope it was done properly. Is there any way to determine the integrity of a shock by holding it or running any tests. When I originally pulled them off, the one without a spring was surprisingly easy to push in and then the recoil was slow to come out. I was expecting that to change but after the recharge I can still push the shock in and the recoil isn't that fast. The tech told me the spring is for kick back and the shock is just for dampening, I guess that makes sense. So I mean who's to say that I handed them my shocks, and the next day they give 'em back to me the same way and charge me the seventy bucks to do nothing. I mean, how can I be sure they even touched 'em?
Thanks, Greg
