To anyone interested, I just converted from yellow to green, so I have a couple of questions. Does any one have a temp gauge on thier ZR900? Is it located on the bottom of the tach? Is it better to install OEM or aftermarket?
thanks for your help!

I am going to be installing one on mine and will be mounting it in between the tach and speedo. Also going with aftermarket. I think the only OEM EGTs were for the 440 Sno Pros and some 500s I believe. OEM would most likely be just as much, if not more than an aftermarket gauge anyway.
Congrats on the switch!

Found the answer to my own question - there were no temp gauges installed on any model in '03 except for the four strokes. I'm not sure why you would need it on a four stroke, temps usually stay consistent. I think I will look into an after market one. Its nice to keep an eye on the temp when your running hard. Other than that I'm going to run the 900(carb) stock for this year and then mod for next year.

Where ever you put it be sure to measure very carefully as it can come into contact with the airbox lid if you don't. I'm pretty sure theres more room on the RH side but you best double check.
The center looks the best to me but I've always been concerned about cracking the dash with the gauges so close together, especially on the newer models.

I wanted to be able to see mine while sitting so I went for the center.

Good spot, on my sled its an issue where ever I put it as the dial adjuster sits smack dab in the center. My gauge is mounted off to the right, I've practiced peeking in around the bars to keep an eye on it..........not bad once your use to it.
It would be nice to see the day when they build both fuel and temp gauges into the tach and speedo.............now that's the way it should be.

I def. like the " A symetrical " look of your dash Team Arctic!! wish cat would just install em for us.. but that would be another $100. or so for a new sled.... I had one on my 1981 el tigre' 6000... worked great!! sometimes i still wish i had that thing......
