Anyone know the best place to get sled insurace? I want to find a company that will insure just my sled and not my cars.

I recently got my insurance through AAA , but it was actually Progressive that writes the policy. Not too bad on a 94 Wildcat 700 EFI.

Like 4runner said AAA is good, thats who mine is through is well(it helps my wife works there). The best way to do it is to check with the insurance co. that holds your homeowners policy, they usually can give you better rates plus they can give you a cheap storage rate for the off season, most auto ins companies can not give you storage insurance for some reason?

Progressive. You can apply online and never have to talk to a rep.

I'd check for agencies that write with Foremost Insurance. Depending on the area, they may be more expensive than other companies, but I've heard they pay more at the time of a claim and a lot quicker than most companies do.

By the way, Gabby, that's quite a picture you have!

Try Harley-Davidson Ins. I know it sounds funny but the company I insure my bike through is American Modern. Guaranteed replacement ins. The kicker is that they were $1000 cheaper a year than Progressive for the same ins.

I got a quote from Progressive for my '04 MXZ600 and they wanted $850 a year! I also got a quote from Foremost and it was $360 a year.

I ended up putting it on my homeowners for $250 a year.

I use the Getzoni Agency (Nationwide) in Williamsville, NY-he's never asked me to convert my other policies. He is being allowed to write new snowmobile policies this year (wasn't allowed to last year). Full coverage on my RX-1 is $201 per year, same with the 98 Formula Z 670.

PM me for more info prior to calling, if you decide to.

I am not sure but have any of you guys tried Primmum Insurance? I have both my sleds.........a 2001 MXZX 440 and a 2003 Rev 440 insured there and the total for both machines is $319.65. Mind you that does not include collision

Well I've never carried ins. on my snowmobiles, but it's mandatory liaibility ins. in VT. this year.So I have my auto ins. with MetLife and got a quote from them of 180.00 a year for just liaibility coverage on a sled.I believe they said it didn't matter on the engine cc's.

yup....try to include it on your homeowners insurance....Progressive...Farmers....AAA all seem good...but homeowners insurance is the way to go.
